{"id":235378,"date":"2017-10-31T07:58:47","date_gmt":"2017-10-31T05:58:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=235378"},"modified":"2017-10-31T08:00:34","modified_gmt":"2017-10-31T06:00:34","slug":"linux-foundation-to-make-ai-available-to-everyone","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/software\/235378-linux-foundation-to-make-ai-available-to-everyone.html","title":{"rendered":"Linux Foundation to make AI available to everyone"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Linux Foundation <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linuxfoundation.org\/press-release\/linux-foundation-host-acumos-project\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>has introduced<\/strong><\/a> the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.acumos.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Acumos Project<\/strong><\/a>, which aims to make AI available to everyone.<\/p>\n<p>This will be achieved by providing a common framework and platform for the free exchange of machine learning solutions, which is expected to launch in early 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Founders include AT&amp;T and Tech Mahindra.<\/p>\n<p>Others are invited to participate as members in the coming weeks as the Acumos Project establishes its governance model.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith the Acumos platform, we\u2019re working to create an industry standard for making AI applications and models reusable and easily accessible to any developer,\u201d said The Linux Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAI tools today can be difficult to use and often are designed for data scientists.
