Cell C has launched the blackBOX, a multimedia device for its Black service.<\/p>\n

The device lets you access Black streaming services on your TV, including the live streaming of channels available through Black TV.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0blackBOX is built by Israeli company Comigo, runs on Android, and comes with a remote that sports a full QWERTY keyboard on the back.<\/p>\n

It supports full HD output, but does not support third-party media playback – it is locked to the Black service.<\/p>\n

Cell C said it turns “any television into a smart TV”, and offers Internet-connected features – such as access to football club Facebook pages when watching an English Premier League match.<\/p>\n

Price<\/h3>\n

The blackBOX will be available from Cell C for R1,499.<\/p>\n

Pinnacle 1000 and Pinnacle Unlimited subscribers on 24-month contracts will receive a free blackBOX when they sign up.<\/p>\n
