Apple iPhone users running iOS 11.1 and on the Vodacom network have reported mobile data connectivity issues.<\/p>\n
MyBroadband staff and readers have reported that when using an iPhone 6s running iOS 11.1, there is an issue with establishing a mobile data session when disconnecting from a Wi-Fi connection.<\/p>\n
An example of this is their iPhone being connected to a work Wi-Fi network, and when they leave the office, their device switches to a mobile data connection – but there is no throughput.<\/p>\n
Mobile browsing and apps therefore cannot establish an Internet connection.<\/p>\n
To use mobile data, users have resorted to switching their device off and on again.<\/p>\n
Vodacom said it is aware of the issue and has been working with Apple to resolve it.<\/p>\n
It advised affected customers to switch from Voice and Data to Data Only in the Enable 4G menu in Mobile Data settings.<\/p>\n
