{"id":248799,"date":"2018-02-15T09:30:03","date_gmt":"2018-02-15T07:30:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=248799"},"modified":"2018-02-15T09:31:51","modified_gmt":"2018-02-15T07:31:51","slug":"intel-increases-bug-bounty-to-250000","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/security\/248799-intel-increases-bug-bounty-to-250000.html","title":{"rendered":"Intel increases bug bounty to $250,000"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Intel has updated its <a href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.intel.com\/news\/expanding-intels-bug-bounty-program\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Bug Bounty Program<\/strong><\/a>, which is now open to all security researchers and features rewards of up to $250,000.<\/p>\n<p>Intel launched its Bug Bounty Program in March 2017 to incentivise security researchers to report potential vulnerabilities.<\/p>\n<p>The company has now made updates to the programme to increase its engagement with the security research community.<\/p>\n<p>The updates include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Shifting from invitation-only to open to all security researchers, significantly expanding the pool of eligible researchers.<\/li>\n<li>Offering a new programme focused on side channel vulnerabilities until 31 December 2018.
