{"id":254673,"date":"2018-04-04T13:02:46","date_gmt":"2018-04-04T11:02:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=254673"},"modified":"2018-04-04T13:04:23","modified_gmt":"2018-04-04T11:04:23","slug":"intels-most-powerful-laptop-processors-ever","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/hardware\/254673-intels-most-powerful-laptop-processors-ever.html","title":{"rendered":"Intel&#8217;s most powerful laptop processors ever"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Intel has unveiled <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.intel.com\/news\/intel-core-i9-processor-comes-mobile-best-gaming-creation-laptop-processor-intel-ever-built\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a new lineup<\/a><\/strong> of high-performance mobile processors, which includes its first-ever Core i9 CPU for laptops.<\/p>\n<p>The company launched the new laptop chips across its Core U-Series and Core H-Series.<\/p>\n<p>Mobile processors in Intel&#8217;s H-Series feature up to six cores with 12 threads and boast much better performance than the previous generation of mobile CPUs.<\/p>\n<p>The U-Series chips are more power-efficient than the high-performance products, and comprise both dual and quad-core chips with four and eight threads respectively.<\/p>\n<p>The H-Series chips have a thermal design power (TDP) of 45W, while the U-Series processors have a TDP of 28W.<\/p>\n<p>Intel&#8217;s new mobile chips are already being used in high-end laptops, such as the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M, and will adopted in powerful mobile devices as manufacturers take up the technology.<\/p>\n<p>The specifications of Intel&#8217;s new H-Series and U-Series mobile processors are listed below.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\">H-Series chips<\/h3>\n<div class=\"mybb_table\">\n<div class=\"table-responsive\"><table class=\"table\" style=\"width: 100%;\" border=\"0\" cellpadding=\"7\">\n<thead>\n<tr style=\"background-color: #003366;
