{"id":254945,"date":"2018-04-06T09:32:27","date_gmt":"2018-04-06T07:32:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=254945"},"modified":"2018-04-06T09:33:38","modified_gmt":"2018-04-06T07:33:38","slug":"plex-now-on-oculus-and-gear-vr","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/broadcasting\/254945-plex-now-on-oculus-and-gear-vr.html","title":{"rendered":"Plex now on Oculus and Gear VR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Plex has\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.plex.tv\/blog\/immerse-yourself-in-your-media-with-gear-vr-and-oculus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced<\/a><\/strong> that its VR application now runs on Oculus and Gear VR headsets.<\/p>\n<p>Plex develops media server software, along with client applications that interface with it.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to hosting your collection of videos, photos, and music, the server also supports channels like <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/broadcasting\/230613-personalised-streaming-news-added-to-plex.html\">Plex&#8217;s news streaming service<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/broadcasting\/246056-plex-vr-lets-you-stream-to-your-daydream-headset.html\">Plex VR was previously exclusive<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>to the Google Daydream platform.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Of course we haven\u2019t forgotten our roots, and we\u2019re always working to improve our Daydream experience, too,&#8221;
