{"id":268721,"date":"2018-07-18T07:14:19","date_gmt":"2018-07-18T05:14:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=268721"},"modified":"2018-07-18T07:17:29","modified_gmt":"2018-07-18T05:17:29","slug":"google-cloud-goes-down","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/cloud-hosting\/268721-google-cloud-goes-down.html","title":{"rendered":"Google cloud goes down"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Portions of Google\u2019s cloud-computing service went down Tuesday, leading to the temporary failure of some popular applications that rely on the technology giant, including Snapchat and Spotify.<\/p>\n<p>The disruption affected Google\u2019s service that provides computing storage and data management tools for companies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are aware of issues affecting some of our GCP services and the team is actively investigating,\u201d a spokesman for Alphabet Inc.\u2019s Google said in a statement. Less than an hour after the initial reports, the spokesman said the issues \u201cshould be resolved\u201d as of 12:48 p.m. San Francisco time.<\/p>\n<p>The outage hit Google a day after extended service issues for Amazon.com Inc.<\/p>\n<p>The two companies, along with Microsoft Corp., are the largest providers of data storage over the internet.
