{"id":278563,"date":"2018-10-08T12:05:03","date_gmt":"2018-10-08T10:05:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=278563"},"modified":"2018-10-08T12:07:12","modified_gmt":"2018-10-08T10:07:12","slug":"anc-website-still-down-due-to-non-payment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/cloud-hosting\/278563-anc-website-still-down-due-to-non-payment.html","title":{"rendered":"ANC website still down due to &#8220;non-payment&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/anc.org.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>website<\/strong><\/a> for the ANC is still offline after more than a week, and is now displaying the message: \u201cThis website is suspended due to non-payment to the service provider.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This comes after the <a href=\"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/government\/277471-anc-website-reportedly-taken-down-due-to-unpaid-bills.html\"><strong>ANC denied it was in a dispute<\/strong><\/a> with the company which hosted its website, Unwmebi Communications.<\/p>\n<p>Business Live <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.businesslive.co.za\/bd\/national\/2018-09-27-anc-website-shut-down-over-deal-gone-sour\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a><\/strong> that a lawyer\u2019s letters from Unwembi alleged the ANC owes R32.5 million for a \u201cmembership system agreement\u201d and the development, hosting, and support of its websites.<\/p>\n<p>ANC spokesperson Pule Mabe denied that the organisation\u2019s website was down due to non-payment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t know what hogwash that is, we don\u2019t owe anyone R32 million,\u201d Mabe was quoted as saying.<\/p>\n<p>According to the report, Unwembi sent the ANC a legal letter stating the party owed R26.5 million under a \u201cmember system agreement\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>It owed another R6 million for hosting and support of the ANC\u2019s websites.
