{"id":27891,"date":"2011-06-30T12:53:03","date_gmt":"2011-06-30T10:53:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=27891"},"modified":"2011-06-30T13:03:55","modified_gmt":"2011-06-30T11:03:55","slug":"vodacom-network-problems-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/cellular\/27891-vodacom-network-problems-2.html","title":{"rendered":"Vodacom network problems"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Numerous Vodacom subscribers reported this morning (30 June 2011), that just after midday they began experiencing problems making calls and using SMS services.<\/p>\n<p>Vodacom confirmed the problems, saying that they are aware that certain customers \u201care experiencing issues calling and SMSing\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are currently experiencing network issues in some areas. Our engineering team is working hard to resolve the problem,\u201d Vodacom spokesperson Ashleigh Dubbelman said.<\/p>\n<p>The reasons behind the network problems are currently unknown, and there is no firm time or date at which the problems are likely to be resolved.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Consumers not happy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The operator\u2019s Facebook followers were not impressed with the network problems and lack of concrete information about the cause of the downtime.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am done with Vodacom.
