If your files are missing, you have been affected by the bug.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have paused the rollout of the Windows 10 October 2018 Update (version 1809) for all users as we investigate isolated reports of users missing some files after updating,\u201d said Microsoft.<\/p>\n<p>Microsoft has also recommended that users cancel any pending updates to the October 2018 update queued in their systems.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/news.softpedia.com\/news\/how-to-cancel-pending-installation-of-windows-10-version-1809-523104.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Softpedia News<\/strong><\/a> reported that there are three ways to do this:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Navigate to\u00a0C:\\Windows\\SoftwareDistribution\\Download (or the appropriate hard drive path) and delete the download.<\/li>\n<li>In Windows 10 Pro, go to Settings &gt; Update &amp; Security &gt; Windows Update and set up the update deferral.<\/li>\n<li>Restart Windows Update by navigating to\u00a0services.msc in the Start menu. Access\u00a0Windows Update, and double-click Stop.
