{"id":281671,"date":"2018-10-25T11:51:12","date_gmt":"2018-10-25T09:51:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=281671"},"modified":"2018-10-25T11:52:30","modified_gmt":"2018-10-25T09:52:30","slug":"facebook-is-working-on-an-augmented-reality-headset","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/gadgets\/281671-facebook-is-working-on-an-augmented-reality-headset.html","title":{"rendered":"Facebook is working on an augmented reality headset"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Facebook has <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2018\/10\/24\/facebook-ar-headset\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>confirmed to TechCrunch<\/strong><\/a> that it is developing an augmented reality headset.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the TechCrunch AR\/VR event in Los Angeles, Facebook head of augmented reality Ficus Kirkpatrick said that the company is building AR hardware products, although it does not currently have any products to announce.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are building hardware products,&#8221; Kirkpatrick said. &#8220;We want to see those glasses come into reality, and I think we want to play our part in helping to bring them there.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have no product to announce right now.
