{"id":288788,"date":"2018-12-07T10:15:14","date_gmt":"2018-12-07T08:15:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=288788"},"modified":"2018-12-07T10:15:40","modified_gmt":"2018-12-07T08:15:40","slug":"7nm-processor-development-on-track-intel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/hardware\/288788-7nm-processor-development-on-track-intel.html","title":{"rendered":"7nm processor development on track &#8211; Intel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Intel is on track to release its 7nm processors in accordance with the company&#8217;s private roadmap, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anandtech.com\/show\/13683\/intel-euvenabled-7nm-process-tech-is-on-track\"><strong>reports AnandTech<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Intel has struggled to keep up with its plans for 10nm processors, which were expected to become widely available in the second half of 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Today, Intel&#8217;s 10nm technology is still only available in a limited number of CPUs, reportedly due to the company&#8217;s excessively aggressive targets for scaling and transistor density.<\/p>\n<p>However, Intel has assured the public that the failures of the 10nm processor are not holding back the development of its 7nm processors.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;7nm for us is a separate team and largely a separate effort.
