{"id":295248,"date":"2019-02-08T08:07:46","date_gmt":"2019-02-08T06:07:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=295248"},"modified":"2019-02-08T08:08:45","modified_gmt":"2019-02-08T06:08:45","slug":"google-chrome-73-will-support-multimedia-keys","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/software\/295248-google-chrome-73-will-support-multimedia-keys.html","title":{"rendered":"Google Chrome 73 will support multimedia keys"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Google Chrome 73 will be the first version of the browser to support multimedia keys on keyboards, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zdnet.com\/article\/chrome-73-to-officially-support-the-multimedia-keys-on-your-keyboard\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>reports ZDNet<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This will allow users to control their audio and video content in the browser by using specialised buttons on certain keyboards.<\/p>\n<p>Chrome will not allow users to control their media at a tab level &#8211; rather, pressing play or pause will control all media within the browser, regardless of which tab is open.<\/p>\n<p>The upcoming feature is already available to Chrome 73 Beta and Chrome Canary users to test with YouTube.<\/p>\n<p>Chrome 73 is expected to release next month, and will initially launch on Chrome OS, macOS, and Windows.
