{"id":29924,"date":"2011-07-25T08:56:12","date_gmt":"2011-07-25T06:56:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=29924"},"modified":"2011-07-25T10:51:39","modified_gmt":"2011-07-25T08:51:39","slug":"vodacom-struck-by-more-network-problems","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/cellular\/29924-vodacom-struck-by-more-network-problems.html","title":{"rendered":"Vodacom struck by more network problems"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/227063-Vodacom\">Vodacom\u2019s<\/a> network seems to have been struck with problems yet again, with numerous consumers yesterday (24 July 2011) reporting problems connecting to the Vodacom network.<\/p>\n<p>One subscriber said that he had no service from Vodacom on his iPhone all day. \u201cI went to Vodacom Shop this morning and they say network problems. Still down tonight and call centre not very helpful,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Other Vodacom subscribers confirmed the network problems which seem to have been isolated to certain users.<\/p>\n<p>Twitter was also abuzz with tweets about Vodacom network problems, including \u201cI&#8217;m just glad I&#8217;m sick in bed with no Vodacom reception &amp; not stuck in the middle of nowhere\u201d and \u201cwhat&#8217;s going on with Vodacom reception? Entire weekend up and down in Sandton?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Talk Radio 702\u2019s John Robbie even asked on Twitter whether anyone knew what was \u201cup with Vodacom\u201d after complaints from listeners about voice service problems with Vodacom.<\/p>\n<p>Vodacom was asked for details about the problems, but the company merely said \u201cWe are aware of some isolated incidences but our customer care team has been successful in resolving these queries.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Vodacom\u2019s comment is somewhat perplexing as many subscribers are still reporting problems on the Vodacom network. The lack of detailed information is also frustrating consumers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don&#8217;t understand how Vodacom can be down for a whole day second time in one month and they seem very unconcerned,\u201d one Vodacom subscriber said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is typical Vodacom.
