{"id":306078,"date":"2019-05-14T07:39:01","date_gmt":"2019-05-14T05:39:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=306078"},"modified":"2019-05-14T07:39:28","modified_gmt":"2019-05-14T05:39:28","slug":"android-10-could-include-car-crash-detection","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/software\/306078-android-10-could-include-car-crash-detection.html","title":{"rendered":"Android 10 could include car crash detection"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Google&#8217;s upcoming version of Android will include a number of new features, one of which will be the ability to detect when a user is in a car accident, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.xda-developers.com\/google-tests-automatic-car-crash-detection-pixel-android-q-beta\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>XDA Developers<\/strong><\/a> reports.<\/p>\n<p>The latest Android Q beta includes a new Google app named Safety Hub, which will reportedly be exclusive to Pixel smartphones at launch.<\/p>\n<p>This app&#8217;s code contains a number of strings which point to a new car crash detection feature, with the placeholder name &#8220;dogfood&#8221; used while the feature is still under development.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Welcome to the car crash detection dogfood.
