{"id":307898,"date":"2019-05-29T09:26:20","date_gmt":"2019-05-29T07:26:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=307898"},"modified":"2019-05-29T09:26:52","modified_gmt":"2019-05-29T07:26:52","slug":"microsoft-stops-providing-huawei-with-windows-licenses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/software\/307898-microsoft-stops-providing-huawei-with-windows-licenses.html","title":{"rendered":"Microsoft stops providing Huawei with Windows licenses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Microsoft has stopped providing Huawei with Windows licences as part of its efforts to comply with US trade limitations against the Chinese company, The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scmp.com\/tech\/big-tech\/article\/3011660\/microsoft-said-stop-accepting-new-orders-huawei-it-moves-comply-us\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>South China Morning Post<\/strong><\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>Windows operating systems running on current Huawei PCs will not be affected, but Microsoft will no longer accept new product orders from Huawei.<\/p>\n<p>Microsoft&#8217;s services team has also reportedly begun moving out of its Chinese headquarters in Shenzhen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis does not mean that Microsoft is not cooperating with Huawei any more.
