{"id":308062,"date":"2019-05-30T08:18:26","date_gmt":"2019-05-30T06:18:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=308062"},"modified":"2019-05-30T08:20:21","modified_gmt":"2019-05-30T06:20:21","slug":"g-suite-to-activate-gmail-confidential-mode-by-default","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/software\/308062-g-suite-to-activate-gmail-confidential-mode-by-default.html","title":{"rendered":"G Suite to activate Gmail confidential mode by default"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Google will <a href=\"https:\/\/gsuiteupdates.googleblog.com\/2019\/05\/gmail-confidential-mode-launching-on-by.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>roll out<\/strong><\/a> its Gmail confidential mode feature to G Suite users on June 25, activating the mode by default on all accounts.<\/p>\n<p>The feature will allow G Suite users to write confidential emails and access a range of security and privacy features.<\/p>\n<p>Email senders can set an expiration date for their messages, after which access to the email will no longer be possible.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, confidential emails are not available to be forwarded, printed, downloaded, or have their contents copied. Users can also request SMS verification before an email can be read.<\/p>\n<p>To disable confidential mode once it reaches general availability, administrators can navigate to Apps &gt; G Suite &gt; Settings for Gmail &gt; User settings.
