{"id":309835,"date":"2019-06-12T09:50:53","date_gmt":"2019-06-12T07:50:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=309835"},"modified":"2019-06-12T09:51:48","modified_gmt":"2019-06-12T07:51:48","slug":"big-afrihost-downtime","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/internet\/309835-big-afrihost-downtime.html","title":{"rendered":"Big Afrihost downtime"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Afrihost&#8217;s website, hosting services, and network are experiencing major issues this morning.<\/p>\n<p>According to reports on <a href=\"https:\/\/downdetector.co.za\/status\/afrihost\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>DownDetector<\/strong><\/a> and social media, Afrihost web hosting and email customers are unable to access their respective services, with many users reporting that the ISPs Internet services are also unavailable.<\/p>\n<p>Attempting to access the Afrihost website returns an Error 524 page which states that the origin web server timed out responding to the request.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Afrihost-Error-524.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-309839\" src=\"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Afrihost-Error-524.jpg\" alt=\"Afrihost Error 524\" width=\"640\" height=\"494\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Afrihost-Error-524.jpg 1138w, https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Afrihost-Error-524-518x400.jpg 518w, https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Afrihost-Error-524-768x593.jpg 768w, https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Afrihost-Error-524-557x430.jpg 557w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Users who have managed to access the Afrihost website were presented with the following message regarding the network issues.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Please note we are experiencing issues with our network and are working with our engineers to resolve this.
