{"id":313031,"date":"2019-07-11T07:29:55","date_gmt":"2019-07-11T05:29:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=313031"},"modified":"2019-07-11T07:30:34","modified_gmt":"2019-07-11T05:30:34","slug":"whatsapp-to-launch-new-edit-media-feature","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/software\/313031-whatsapp-to-launch-new-edit-media-feature.html","title":{"rendered":"WhatsApp to launch new Edit Media feature"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WhatsApp is working on a new quick edit media shortcut which will be enabled in the next few updates, <a href=\"https:\/\/wabetainfo.com\/whatsapp-is-developing-a-quick-edit-media-shortcut\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>WABetaInfo<\/strong><\/a> reports.<\/p>\n<p>This feature helps users to save time and storage by allowing them to quickly and easily edit media they have sent and received in their chats and groups.<\/p>\n<p>Upon opening media in a chat, WhatsApp users will be able to select a new &#8220;Edit&#8221; shortcut that will automatically redirect to the image editing screen.<\/p>\n<p>It should be noted that editing and saving an image this way will not override the previous media, but will create a new file which can be sent to other chats.<\/p>\n<p>The quick edit media shortcut will be available for Android and iOS and is currently under development.
