{"id":31568,"date":"2011-08-14T22:29:36","date_gmt":"2011-08-14T20:29:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=31568"},"modified":"2011-08-14T22:31:18","modified_gmt":"2011-08-14T20:31:18","slug":"e-mail-tender-scam","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/technology\/31568-e-mail-tender-scam.html","title":{"rendered":"E-mail tender scam"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An e-mail scam that tricked people into depositing money into an account, under the pretext that they were awarded a government tender, has been reported to the police, the Limpopo treasury said on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The e-mails were sent by an address registered in the MEC for finance David Masondo&#8217;s name, department spokesman Kevin Ramdharie said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;No such tender was awarded, as is claimed in the fraudulent e-mail.
