{"id":32520,"date":"2011-08-25T17:07:26","date_gmt":"2011-08-25T15:07:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=32520"},"modified":"2011-11-07T15:29:04","modified_gmt":"2011-11-07T13:29:04","slug":"amd-names-rory-reed-ceo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/hardware\/32520-amd-names-rory-reed-ceo.html","title":{"rendered":"AMD names Rory Reed CEO"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"AMD\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/219302-AMD\">AMD<\/a> has appointed <a title=\"Rory Reed\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/360666-Rory-Reed\">Rory Reed<\/a> as its new Chief Executive Officer, filling the position that has remained vacant for the past seven months.<\/p>\n<p>The search by AMD for a new CEO has been slowed as leading technology industry executives rejected the position, citing the companies poor performance over the last year which saw stock value decrease by 22 percent since the start of the 2011 financial year.<\/p>\n<p>Reed previously served as the Chief Operating Officer of the Lenovo Group.
