Neotel launched new broadband packages<\/a> and data bundles in August 2011 to increase the choice of data and voice solutions available to consumers.<\/p>\n

Neotel\u2019s new products include two NeoGo packages, offering consumers 2GB of data per month at R99 and 3GB of data and a dongle at R179 per month.<\/p>\n

Vodacom<\/a> and 8ta<\/a> have also unveiled aggressively priced mobile data promotions over the last few weeks.<\/p>\n

Vodacom announced on 24 August 2011<\/a> that they will cut their prepaid and top up data prices by up to 42% from 19 September. The company also unveiled a \u2018double your prepaid data\u2019 promotion on their bigger prepaid data bundles.<\/p>\n

Vodacom\u2019s announcement comes only days after 8ta announced their new prepaid data special<\/a> that offers subscribers 2GB of anytime data and 1GB \u201cmidnight surfer\u201d data for R149. \u2018Midnight surfer\u2019 data can be used between 00:00 and 05:00.<\/p>\n
