{"id":325779,"date":"2019-11-01T09:02:13","date_gmt":"2019-11-01T07:02:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=325779"},"modified":"2019-11-01T09:03:22","modified_gmt":"2019-11-01T07:03:22","slug":"whatsapp-gets-fingerprint-security-on-android","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/security\/325779-whatsapp-gets-fingerprint-security-on-android.html","title":{"rendered":"WhatsApp gets fingerprint security on Android"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WhatsApp has <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.whatsapp.com\/10000663\/Introducing-Fingerprint-Lock-for-Android\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>announced<\/strong><\/a> it will roll out support for biometric authentication via fingerprint sensors for Android smartphones.<\/p>\n<p>To enable this new option, users will need to navigate to Settings &gt; Account &gt; Privacy &gt; Fingerprint lock.
