This resulted in a scramble operation by Apple\u2019s security team to recover the device in the days following the incident.<\/p>\n<p>Last year a similar incident where an iPhone 4 prototype went missing saw a gadget blog pay $5,000 for the device ahead of its release. This incident was far lower profile, with the new prototype reportedly sold on Craigslist for $200.
