{"id":33090,"date":"2011-09-01T22:29:51","date_gmt":"2011-09-01T20:29:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=33090"},"modified":"2011-09-01T22:30:55","modified_gmt":"2011-09-01T20:30:55","slug":"sextortion-does-not-pay","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/internet\/33090-sextortion-does-not-pay.html","title":{"rendered":"Sextortion does not pay"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A California man has been sentenced to six years in prison for extorting sexually explicit photos from women and teenage girls whose computers he hacked.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. District Judge George King on Thursday called the crimes committed by 32-year-old Luis Mijangos a form of cyber terrorism that inflicted great emotional distress on his victims.<\/p>\n<p>Mijangos pleaded guilty to one count each of computer hacking and wiretapping in March.
