href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/314567-Google\">Google\u2019s<\/a> mobile operating system (OS).<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a title=\"Cell C website\" href=\"http:\/\/cellc.co.za\/devices\/cell-c-loves-android\" target=\"_blank\">Cell C website<\/a>, the mobile network operator \u201cloves Android\u201d because it is the \u201cworld\u2019s first complete, open and free mobile platform which was developed to bring radical innovation to the world of mobile.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cell C states that one of the best things about Android is that it is open-source software, meaning that anyone can tinker with the source code and that no industry player can restrict or control the innovations of any other.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAny handset manufacturer can install and customise Android when they build their devices, and any developer can use it to create applications,\u201d Cell C\u2019s website says.<\/p>\n<p>Cell C highlighted the following things users can do with their Android smartphones:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Personalise the smartphone with the latest apps, games and other content.<\/li>\n<li>Download the most popular apps from Android Market with your Google account.<\/li>\n<li>Sync your Google contacts to your phone contacts.<\/li>\n<li>Hassle-free access to Gmail, Google Earth, Google Calendar and YouTube.<\/li>\n<li>Chat to contacts
