{"id":33404,"date":"2011-09-07T10:06:33","date_gmt":"2011-09-07T08:06:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=33404"},"modified":"2011-09-07T10:08:01","modified_gmt":"2011-09-07T08:08:01","slug":"diginotar-hacker-speaks-out","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/technology\/33404-diginotar-hacker-speaks-out.html","title":{"rendered":"DigiNotar hacker speaks out"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A hacker who goes by the nickname ComodoHacker has claimed responsibility for hacking Dutch certificate authority <a title=\"DigiNotar\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/361748-DigiNotar\">DigiNotar<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>ComodoHacker who also claimed responsibility for accessing certificate authority Comodo earlier this year, says he has accessed GlobalSign systems in the past as well as a further four unnamed certificate authorities.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement regarding the DigiNotar hack, ComodoHacker offered a brief description of how he hacked DigiNotar which included finding passwords, using zero-day exploits breaking through firewalls and bypassing cryptographic hardware.
