2020 promises even more PC gaming announcements which could bring big changes to the platform.<\/p>\n

Google Stadia<\/h3>\n

Google’s game-streaming service was launched on 19 November and is likely to gain substantially more market share in 2020 when it launches a free plan.<\/p>\n

Google has the resources to create a truly high-quality product, meaning Stadia is a gaming platform to keep an eye on.<\/p>\n

Google Stadia is currently available in numerous countries spanning North America and Europe, but many South Africans hope the service will soon receive local servers.<\/p>\n

Many Stadia fans also hope for the service to become available on more mobile devices, as it is currently only compatible with Google’s Pixel 2, 3, 3a, and 4 smartphones.<\/p>\n

Next Unit of Computing<\/h3>\n

Next Unit of Computing (NUC) is a technology developed by Intel that could drastically change the future of computing.<\/p>\n

NUC foregoes the user’s need for a traditional motherboard. Instead, it integrates the processor and various other ports and connections into a smaller box.<\/p>\n

Computers can still be run with powerful hardware such as high-performance graphics cards, power supplies, and SSDs.<\/p>\n

Razer recently released its first desktop gaming PC – The Razer Tomahawk – which uses the NUC form factor.<\/p>\n

It is a high-performance gaming PC which offers up to an Intel Core i9 9th-generation processor, 64GB RAM, and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Super GPU.<\/p>\n

Epic games<\/h3>\n

2020 will see a selection of exciting game launches for PC.<\/p>\n

One game that has been hyped for years is Cyberpunk 2077, which is a futuristic role-playing game created by CD Projekt Red – the same group who developed The Witcher 3.<\/p>\n

Other games that will pique the interest of PC gamers include Nioh 2, Doom Eternal, and Ori and the Will of the Wisps.<\/p>\n

New graphics cards<\/h3>\n

PC gamers can expect some awesome new graphics cards in 2020.<\/p>\n

AMD recently unveiled<\/strong><\/a> its Radeon RX 5600 range of graphics cards, which offer a massive upgrade for 1080p gamers.<\/p>\n

AMD claims that the RX 5600 XT will offer a 20% performance increase over the GTX 1660 – which AMD says is the equivalent Nvidia offering.<\/p>\n

Analysts have also claimed<\/strong><\/a> that Nvidia will launch its GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card in June 2020.<\/p>\n

This would follow the rumoured March 2020 launch of its 7nm GPU architecture.<\/p>\n
