{"id":33490,"date":"2011-09-08T09:06:28","date_gmt":"2011-09-08T07:06:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=33490"},"modified":"2011-09-08T09:07:36","modified_gmt":"2011-09-08T07:07:36","slug":"google-docs-experienced-30-minute-downtime","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/technology\/33490-google-docs-experienced-30-minute-downtime.html","title":{"rendered":"Google Docs experienced 30-minute downtime"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"Google\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/314567-Google\">Google<\/a> Docs, which consist of an online word processor, spreadsheet application, presentation tool and drawing app, suffered downtime at around 11pm last night.<\/p>\n<p>The downtime reportedly lasted 30 minutes affected all Google Docs users, though some with direct links to spreadsheet files could access the content.<\/p>\n<p>The services refused to respond for the first 10 minutes before sporting an error page blaming the downtime on server issues.<\/p>\n<p>Google\u2019s enterprise group confirmed the outage with business customers, releasing the following statement: \u201cWe are aware of an issue involving Google Docs and are working now to resolve it as quickly as possible. We will be updating the <a title=\"Google Apps status Dashboard\" href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/appsstatus#hl=en\" target=\"_blank\">Apps Status Dashboard<\/a> regularly.
