{"id":336344,"date":"2020-01-26T13:59:04","date_gmt":"2020-01-26T11:59:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=336344"},"modified":"2020-01-27T08:12:28","modified_gmt":"2020-01-27T06:12:28","slug":"cipc-website-offline","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/internet\/336344-cipc-website-offline.html","title":{"rendered":"CIPC website offline"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 class=\"my-4\">Update &#8211; Maintenance<\/h3>\n<p>According to a post by the CIPC on Twitter, the CIPC&#8217;s systems are offline due to maintenance.<\/p>\n<p>The maintenance is running from 24-26 January.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Please note that BizPortal will not be available from 15:00 today (24-01-2020) until Sunday (26-01-2020) at 18:00.<\/p>\n<p>This is to mitigate against more power interruptions, as experienced yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>We apologise for any inconvenience this might cause. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/KoG4JjldrM\">pic.twitter.com\/KoG4JjldrM<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 BizPortal (@BizPortalGovZa) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BizPortalGovZa\/status\/1220682642351370245?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 24, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\">Original article<\/h3>\n<p>The Companies and Intellectual Property Commission&#8217;s (CIPC) <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cipc.co.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>website<\/strong><\/a> is offline and cannot be reached.<\/p>\n<p>MyBroadband was alerted to the issue by a reader, who stated that the &#8220;CIPC site seems to have vanished from the Internet&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;[I] had a few clients query why they couldn&#8217;t access it, so we checked up on it,&#8221; said the reader.<\/p>\n<p>When MyBroadband attempted to visit the site, it received a &#8220;site can&#8217;t be reached&#8221; message in Chrome.<\/p>\n<p>The message added that the cipc.co.za&#8217;s server IP address could not be found.
