{"id":339535,"date":"2020-02-20T05:45:55","date_gmt":"2020-02-20T03:45:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=339535"},"modified":"2020-02-20T06:53:14","modified_gmt":"2020-02-20T04:53:14","slug":"bitcoin-volatility-jumps","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/cryptocurrency\/339535-bitcoin-volatility-jumps.html","title":{"rendered":"Bitcoin volatility jumps"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bitcoin volatility is back to levels not seen since early November, thanks to a sudden tumble toward the end of the U.S. day.<\/p>\n<p>Historical swings over the past 10 days on the Bitcoin-U.S. dollar pair surged to 65% on Wednesday, the highest level since Nov. 6, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.<\/p>\n<p>Bitcoin plunged in that session, going from being little-changed at $10,168 around 5 a.m. Hong Kong time to a drop of more than 8% to $9,327 about 45 minutes later.
