{"id":343191,"date":"2020-03-18T07:55:12","date_gmt":"2020-03-18T05:55:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=343191"},"modified":"2020-03-18T07:55:49","modified_gmt":"2020-03-18T05:55:49","slug":"new-whatsapp-icons-and-sharing-features-for-iphone","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/software\/343191-new-whatsapp-icons-and-sharing-features-for-iphone.html","title":{"rendered":"New WhatsApp icons and sharing features for iPhone"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WhatsApp is working on new features for the iOS version of its app, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/wabetainfo.com\/whatsapp-messenger-beta-for-ios-2-20-40-20-whats-new\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>WABetaInfo<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The latest beta version of WhatsApp Messenger for iOS brings a number of changes, including redesigned icons and Share Sheet integration.<\/p>\n<p>WhatsApp has also implemented a fix for a bug which prevented the Dark Theme from being enabled for some iPhone SE and iPhone 8 users.<\/p>\n<p>All of the features and improvements added in this beta version of the app will be available in the next App Store update for WhatsApp.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\">Share Sheet integration<\/h3>\n<p>The latest beta version of WhatsApp includes support for iOS 13&#8217;s new Share Sheet, which is used across the operating system as a mechanism for easily sharing files and media.<\/p>\n<p>This means that iPhone users will be able to easily share media to their WhatsApp contacts from within other applications.<\/p>\n<p>According to WABetaInfo, the WhatsApp application submits contacts to the Share Sheet periodically, allowing the function to be updated regularly.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\">New icons and other improvements<\/h3>\n<p>WhatsApp has also redesigned some icons for the iOS version of its application, making images larger and more recognisable.<\/p>\n<p>Icons which have been changed include &#8220;Media, Links, and Docs&#8221;, &#8220;Save to Camera Roll&#8221;, and &#8220;Encryption&#8221;
