{"id":346861,"date":"2020-04-08T09:35:40","date_gmt":"2020-04-08T07:35:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=346861"},"modified":"2020-04-08T09:37:40","modified_gmt":"2020-04-08T07:37:40","slug":"new-features-coming-to-whatsapp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/software\/346861-new-features-coming-to-whatsapp.html","title":{"rendered":"New features coming to WhatsApp"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WABetaInfo has <a href=\"https:\/\/wabetainfo.com\/whatsapp-beta-for-android-2-20-117-whats-new\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>detailed<\/strong><\/a> new features available in the latest WhatsApp beta update for Android.<\/p>\n<p>The features were added in beta version 2.20.117 and are currently under development.<\/p>\n<p>Although these are not yet available in commercial versions of the app, beta features give an indication of what can be expected in official future updates.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\">Advanced Search<\/h3>\n<p>WhatsApp currently allows users to find the content of chats by using a simple search tool which can be accessed by tapping the search box in the top right corner of the app.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, from the three-dot menu within individual or group chats users can select the media, documents, and links option to find files or links within those conversations.<\/p>\n<p>A new Advanced Search Mode is currently under development and should make it easier to locate data among all your chats with refined search capabilities.<\/p>\n<p>It allows the user to search for particular types of data according to several filters.
