PriceCheck, a local online shopping comparison website, launches an online flight comparison service that searches both travel agent results and low cost airlines directly. <\/p>\n

This new service from PriceCheck makes it possible to compare prices from Kulula, Mango, 1Time, Nationwide and online travel agent, Travelstart, in one place. <\/p>\n

Flights are ordered by price per provider and can be narrowed down by time of departure by a set of filters. The user can further be directed to the relevant flight booking page where they can complete their booking and payment.<\/p>\n

Kevin Tucker, managing partner of PriceCheck: "Developing the search technology to search low-cost airlines directly has been quite a challenge. We invested in this because we want to offer our users the ability to not only compare products and their prices, but also prices on services such as flights."<\/p>\n

According to the latest research conducted by World Wide Worx the total spend on online retail goods in South Africa was approximately R929 million in 2007, while the online sale of air tickets amounted to around R3 billion. <\/p>\n
