{"id":35542,"date":"2011-10-07T10:16:46","date_gmt":"2011-10-07T08:16:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=35542"},"modified":"2011-10-07T10:18:35","modified_gmt":"2011-10-07T08:18:35","slug":"alien-dalvik-lets-android-apps-run-on-ios","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/technology\/35542-alien-dalvik-lets-android-apps-run-on-ios.html","title":{"rendered":"Alien Dalvik lets Android apps run on iOS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One of the largest strengths of any mobile platform is the list of applications that run on it.<\/p>\n<p>The Myriad Group hopes to capitalise on this ground-rule with the release of Alien Dalvik 2.0, a mobile technology that allows users to run <a title=\"Android Mobile Oerating System\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/221979-Google-Android\">Android<\/a> applications on non-Android smartphone platforms, one of which is <a title=\"Apple\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/342717-Apple-inc\">iOS<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Myriad hopes that the Alien Dalvik technology is the first step in moving the industry towards a single app standard, by \u201cremoving the technological barriers to create a\u00a0consistent user experience across multiple platforms and screens so users can enjoy content seamlessly from one device to the next.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Though Alien Dalvik 2.0 has been released, it will not be available to end-users just yet.
