{"id":358031,"date":"2020-06-30T10:26:18","date_gmt":"2020-06-30T08:26:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=358031"},"modified":"2020-06-30T10:27:52","modified_gmt":"2020-06-30T08:27:52","slug":"google-to-shut-down-old-g-suite-apps","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/software\/358031-google-to-shut-down-old-g-suite-apps.html","title":{"rendered":"Google to shut down old G Suite apps"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Google has <a href=\"https:\/\/gsuiteupdates.googleblog.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>announced<\/strong><\/a> that the old versions of several of its G Suite productivity apps will be discontinued in August.<\/p>\n<p>The company said users must update to the new versions due to changes made to Google&#8217;s API and service infrastructure, which are aimed at improving performance and security.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As a result of these changes, some older versions of G Suite desktop and mobile apps may stop working on August 12, 2020.
