{"id":367,"date":"2007-06-22T00:03:00","date_gmt":"2007-06-21T22:03:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2007-06-22T00:03:00","modified_gmt":"2007-06-21T22:03:00","slug":"iburst-gets-tough-on-caps","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wireless\/367-iburst-gets-tough-on-caps.html","title":{"rendered":"iBurst gets tough on caps"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><font size=\"2\">A number of iBurst subscribers were unpleasantly surprised this month when they received a call warning them that they will be hard capped unless they stop their &lsquo;excessive usage&rsquo;. <\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"2\">Some users reported that they have been cut off for excessive usage without any warning. &ldquo;The bastards cut me off a few hours ago for this same reason, not even a warning,&rdquo; said one iBurst subscriber.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"2\">Currently iBurst Pro subscribers are subject to a soft cap and are slowed down to a maximum of 64Kbps once their cap is reached. <\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"2\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.iburst.co.za\" target=\"_blank\">iBurst<\/a> said that it can not allow a small percentage of users to negatively impact on the experience of their total user base.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"2\">&ldquo;In the past, iBurst hasn&rsquo;t capped subscribers for on-net data usage. Capping limit rules have always existed, however.
