{"id":36874,"date":"2011-10-26T12:10:26","date_gmt":"2011-10-26T10:10:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=36874"},"modified":"2011-10-26T12:13:56","modified_gmt":"2011-10-26T10:13:56","slug":"blackberry-playbook-os-2-0-delayed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/technology\/36874-blackberry-playbook-os-2-0-delayed.html","title":{"rendered":"BlackBerry Playbook OS 2.0 delayed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"Research in Motion (RIM)\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/313525-Research-in-Motion-%28RIM%29\">Research in Motion (RIM)<\/a> confirmed in a <a title=\"Research In Motion (RIM) blog post\" href=\"http:\/\/blogs.blackberry.com\/2011\/10\/blackberry-playbook-2-update\/#more-11539\">blog post<\/a> that the PlayBook OS 2.0 update won\u2019t be released until February 2012.<\/p>\n<p>The company also reported having issues with <a title=\"BlackBerry\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/342709-BlackBerry\">BlackBerry<\/a> Messenger integration in the OS update.<\/p>\n<p>They also noted that BBM will not be included in the native apps bundle of PlayBook OS 2.0, but will instead feature at a later date.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFirst off, we have decided to defer the inclusion of the BBM application to a subsequent BlackBerry PlayBook OS release.
