MultiChoice and the Premier Soccer League (PSL) have signed a five-year deal which will see DStv becoming the new title sponsor of the premier division.<\/p>\n
This partnership is the continuation of the fruitful cooperation between the PSL and MultiChoice, the company said in its announcement<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n As a result of this partnership, the DStv Premiership brand has been launched as the new title for the PSL premier division.<\/p>\n The league was previously named the Absa Premiership due to Absa being its headline sponsor, and before that was known as the Castle Premiership.<\/p>\n The DStv Premiership marks an elevation of South Africa\u2019s Premier Soccer League bringing together the best of sport and entertainment, Multichoice said.<\/p>\n \u201cAs the PSL continues to innovate with a quest to improve its product, it will have a full backing of DStv, whose offering requires an abundance of local content,” said PSL chairman Dr Irvin Khoza.<\/p>\n “There is no ‘them and us’.
