Further details can be found in your admin centre under EX223208.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The company added that it is reviewing recent changes to its service to further determine the cause of impact.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Users may experience problems with various Exchange Online protocols including Outlook desktop, mobile devices as well as those dependent on REST functionality,&#8221; Microsoft said.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/downdetector.co.za\/status\/office-365\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Downdetector<\/strong><\/a> has also reported a major increase in downtime reports for Office 365. 66% of these reports are related to Outlook specifically, with 20% related to server connection issues.<\/p>\n<p><a  data-lightbox=\"post-image\" href=\"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Office-365-downtime.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-369709\" src=\"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Office-365-downtime-640x265.jpg\" alt=\"Office 365 downtime\" width=\"640\" height=\"265\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Office-365-downtime-640x265.jpg 640w, https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Office-365-downtime-600x248.jpg 600w, https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Office-365-downtime.jpg 754w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\">Recent outage<\/h3>\n<p>This is the second time this week that Microsoft Cloud Services went down around the world.<\/p>\n<p>On 28 September, Microsoft <a href=\"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/cloud-hosting\/369205-microsoft-cloud-services-suffer-global-outage.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>suffered an outage<\/strong><\/a> which affected its most popular cloud services &#8211; Teams, Outlook, and Office 365.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re investigating an issue affecting access to multiple Microsoft 365 services. We\u2019re working to identify the full impact and will provide more information shortly,\u201d the company said in a status update.<\/p>\n<p>The company later explained that a recent update was the cause of the outage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve identified a recent change that appears to be the source of the issue.
