Vodacom is suffering network problems across South Africa and said it its network team and technicians are working to resolve the problem.<\/p>\n

Information from DownDetector shows that the problems started at around 13:00 on Friday and was still increasing at the time of writing.<\/p>\n

Vodacom subscribers across the country are complaining about data connectivity issues, and user feedback suggests that other mobile services are also affected.<\/p>\n

Many Vodacom subscribers took to social media to complain about the operator\u2019s network problems.<\/p>\n

“What happened to Vodacom data! No data connection! Data is turned on and I have data available,” a Vodacom subscriber said.<\/p>\n

\u201cAm I the only one experiencing network issues? Vodacom, what is going on?\u201d asked one Twitter user.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy network says emergency calls only. The only reason I’m able to send this is because I’m on Wi-Fi,\u201d said another.<\/p>\n

Another user highlighted that both his work and personal phones don\u2019t have data connections.<\/p>\n

Vodacom working on the issue<\/h3>\n

Vodacom said its network team and technicians are aware of the issue and are working to resolve the matter.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe do wish to apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience during this time,\u201d Vodacom said.<\/p>\n

MyBroadband asked Vodacom for further comment, but the company could not immediately provide details as to what is behind the outage.<\/p>\n

It is currently not clear when Vodacom expects these issues to be resolved.<\/p>\n

Update \u2013 20:37 on Friday<\/h3>\n

Vodacom confirmed that the issue impacting data connectivity to some of its customers has been resolved.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe thank you for your patience and apologise once again for any inconvenience this caused,\u201d Vodacom said.<\/p>\n
