{"id":3895,"date":"2008-05-26T02:31:00","date_gmt":"2008-05-26T00:31:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2008-05-26T02:31:00","modified_gmt":"2008-05-26T00:31:00","slug":"telkom-trialing-8-mbps-adsl","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/adsl\/3895-telkom-trialing-8-mbps-adsl.html","title":{"rendered":"Telkom trialing 8 Mbps ADSL"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Telkom is trialing an 8Mbps ADSL service, but said that it will take some time before the service is commercially made available.<\/p>\n<p>The company said that doubling the speed of its 4Mbps service is not a simple process as it must be accompanied by suitable backhaul upgrades to the network to support the higher access speeds.<\/p>\n<p>The company is also trialing ADSL2+, mainly aimed at supporting Telkom Media&rsquo;s IPTV plans.
