{"id":38985,"date":"2011-11-29T09:46:50","date_gmt":"2011-11-29T07:46:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=38985"},"modified":"2011-11-29T09:49:48","modified_gmt":"2011-11-29T07:49:48","slug":"iphone-5-lcds-now-shipping","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/technology\/38985-iphone-5-lcds-now-shipping.html","title":{"rendered":"iPhone 5 LCDs now shipping"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The next <a title=\"Apple\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/342717-Apple-inc\">Apple<\/a> iOS smartphone device, expected to be the iPhone 5, will feature a 4 inch LCD display produced by <a title=\"Hitachi Data Systems\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/370532-Hitachi\">Hitachi<\/a> and <a title=\"Sony Corp\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/347942-Sony\">Sony<\/a>, according to an insider.<\/p>\n<p>The two display giants are set to merge their mobile display production business with <a title=\"Toshiba\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/349102-Toshiba\">Toshiba<\/a> in spring of 2012 to form Japan Display Co, which will assumedly continue with production of iOS device display panels.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the 4 inch panel, both companies have also begun shipping the LCD display for the iPad 3 says the same insider.
