{"id":390471,"date":"2021-03-24T13:39:25","date_gmt":"2021-03-24T11:39:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=390471"},"modified":"2021-03-24T13:43:02","modified_gmt":"2021-03-24T11:43:02","slug":"oneplus-launches-its-first-smartwatch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/gadgets\/390471-oneplus-launches-its-first-smartwatch.html","title":{"rendered":"OnePlus launches its first smartwatch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>OnePlus on Tuesday <a href=\"https:\/\/forums.oneplus.com\/threads\/smart-everywear-introducing-the-oneplus-watch.1402641\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>unveiled<\/strong><\/a> its first-ever smartwatch alongside its OnePlus 9 flagship smartphones.<\/p>\n<p>The smartwatch comes packed with top-tier features such as exercise monitoring, long battery life, and easy connectivity.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The OnePlus Watch showcases the same sense of craftsmanship and build quality as OnePlus smartphones, resulting in a product that is powerful to use and beautiful to hold,&#8221; OnePlus said.<\/p>\n<p>It comes in a round design resembling a conventional watch and comes with a stainless-steel case that measures 46mm in diameter.<\/p>\n<p>The new OnePlus watch boasts a crisp resolution thanks to its 2.5D curved sapphire glass case, 1.39-inch AMOLED touchscreen, and 326 pixels per inch (PPI) density.<\/p>\n<p>The watch sports a feature that allows users to select a photo and create a watch face that matches the shade of colour in the image.<\/p>\n<p>To further personalise the watch, it comes with a removable strap that can be replaced with any regular third-party strap.<\/p>\n<p>Customers can select from two classic colours &#8211; Moonlight Silver and Midnight Black &#8211; as well as a third option &#8211; the Cobalt Limited Edition.<\/p>\n<p>The limited-edition case is made of a hypoallergenic cobalt alloy that is twice as strong and rust-resistant as stainless steel.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/OnePlus-smartwatch-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-390483 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/OnePlus-smartwatch-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"430\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/OnePlus-smartwatch-2.jpg 640w, https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/OnePlus-smartwatch-2-595x400.jpg 595w, https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/OnePlus-smartwatch-2-300x202.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\"><strong>OnePlus smartwatch features <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The OnePlus Watch runs on its own operating system and supports software updates from third parties via Google Play.<\/p>\n<p>Its connectivity features allow the user to respond to notifications, make and answer phone calls, play music, and take photos.<\/p>\n<p>Not only does it offer built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS, but it can also act as a smart remote when connected to a OnePlus TV.<\/p>\n<p>Fitted with 1GB RAM and 4GB of standalone storage (2GB for actual use), it can store more than 500 songs and is compatible with most Bluetooth earbuds.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the watch uses a 2 Pogo pin charger that promotes all-day battery life.
