{"id":39115,"date":"2011-11-30T19:09:13","date_gmt":"2011-11-30T17:09:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=39115"},"modified":"2011-12-01T10:32:45","modified_gmt":"2011-12-01T08:32:45","slug":"dstv-mobile-online-activations-and-new-apps","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/broadcasting\/39115-dstv-mobile-online-activations-and-new-apps.html","title":{"rendered":"DStv Mobile online activations and new apps"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"DSTV\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/383647-DStv\">DStv<\/a> Mobile today announced that from 30 November 2011, subscribers can activate their DStv Mobile device on the company&#8217;s website.<\/p>\n<p>Previously DStv Mobile devices could only be activated telephonically through the <a title=\"MultiChoice\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/216214-MultiChoice\">MultiChoice<\/a> call centre.<\/p>\n<p>The activation service is available to all DStv Mobile subscribers and can be used to activate the Drifta, Drifta USB and the Walka TV.<\/p>\n<p>DStv Mobile also introduced new applications. \u201cTo make the DStv Mobile streaming service on mobile operator portals easier to access, DStv Mobile has created a bookmark application for Java ME, <a title=\"BlackBerry\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/342709-BlackBerry\">BlackBerry<\/a>, and <a title=\"Android Mobile Oerating System\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/221979-Google-Android\">Android<\/a> devices,\u201d the company said in a press statement.<\/p>\n<p>The applications are currently available for free from the Android Market and the <a title=\"Vodacom\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/227063-Vodacom\">Vodacom<\/a> apps store.
