{"id":394015,"date":"2021-04-20T09:31:38","date_gmt":"2021-04-20T07:31:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=394015"},"modified":"2021-04-20T09:32:53","modified_gmt":"2021-04-20T07:32:53","slug":"altron-acquires-lawtrust-for-r245-million","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/security\/394015-altron-acquires-lawtrust-for-r245-million.html","title":{"rendered":"Altron acquires Lawtrust for R245 million"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>JSE-listed Altron has acquired digital signatures services company Lawtrust from Etion for R245 million, subject to Competition Commission approval.<\/p>\n<p>Lawtrust was founded in 2006 and has grown to become the leader in identity-based security in Africa.<\/p>\n<p>It offers a wide range of security services, including digital trust services and cyber information security solutions.<\/p>\n<p>It currently offers services to clients across most industries, including telecommunications, financial-services, and industrial companies.<\/p>\n<p>Lawtrust has over 500 customers in the private and public sectors and is considered one of the leading cyber and information security companies in South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>Altron CEO Mteto Nyati said the Lawtrust acquisition complements its Ubusha Technologies identity management division.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUbusha formed the foundation of Altron Security.
