{"id":4012,"date":"2008-06-04T14:58:00","date_gmt":"2008-06-04T12:58:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2008-06-04T14:58:00","modified_gmt":"2008-06-04T12:58:00","slug":"lightweight-ubuntu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/software\/4012-lightweight-ubuntu.html","title":{"rendered":"Lightweight Ubuntu"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ubuntu yesterday announced a lightweight version of its Linux operating system built for the new wave of ultra-portable &quot;netbook&quot; computers. <\/p>\n<p>Called Remix, the customised version of Ubuntu is built to be compatible with the low-power Atom processor from Intel, a miniaturised processor built for smaller notebook chassis.
