{"id":40923,"date":"2012-01-10T09:53:41","date_gmt":"2012-01-10T07:53:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=40923"},"modified":"2012-01-10T09:55:09","modified_gmt":"2012-01-10T07:55:09","slug":"sharp-debuts-80-inch-3d-tv","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/technology\/40923-sharp-debuts-80-inch-3d-tv.html","title":{"rendered":"Sharp debuts 80 inch 3D TV"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In a press conference at CES, electronics giant <a title=\"Sharp\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/383683-Sharp\">Sharp<\/a> has detailed plans on releasing 17 new TVs this year that are 60 inches or larger.<\/p>\n<p>Leading the pack is the companies new 80 inch 3D TV featuring the company\u2019s new \u201c3D X-Gen\u201d technology, scheduled for an April release.<\/p>\n<p>Also detailed was the new Aquos Board technology, which allows Sharp TV screens to function as modern digital whiteboards.<\/p>\n<p>Sharp went on to detail how they have prototype HDTVs with so called 8K resolution, known as \u201cSuper High-Vision\u201d. These have 7,680 pixels of horizontal resolution.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, Sharp introduced the Aquos Freestyle TV range. These TVs range from 20 to 60 inches, and focus on portability.
