{"id":415200,"date":"2021-09-21T17:48:18","date_gmt":"2021-09-21T15:48:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=415200"},"modified":"2021-09-21T17:53:52","modified_gmt":"2021-09-21T15:53:52","slug":"google-pixel-foldable-could-launch-in-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/smartphones\/415200-google-pixel-foldable-could-launch-in-2021.html","title":{"rendered":"Google Pixel foldable could launch in 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Google\u2019s first foldable smartphone could launch towards the end of 2021, according to a leak from Evan Blass on Twitter.<\/p>\n<p>He said the foldable device is codenamed \u201cPassport\u201d and that the tech giant has been working on the smartphone for more than two years.<\/p>\n<p>According to a leak from David Naranjo, Senior Director of Display Supply Chain Consultants, the foldable Pixel device is also speculated to have a low-temperature polycrystalline oxide (LTPO) OLED display.<\/p>\n<p>Naranjo\u2019s post also indicated that the device may launch in the fourth quarter of 2021 and that the Pixel 6 Pro would be also be released in the same time frame.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Heard from someone I trust that the foldable Pixel &#8212; codename: Passport, retail branding: unknown &#8212; will indeed launch before the end of the year.
