{"id":41629,"date":"2012-01-18T16:22:24","date_gmt":"2012-01-18T14:22:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/?p=41629"},"modified":"2012-01-18T17:10:58","modified_gmt":"2012-01-18T15:10:58","slug":"vodacom-web-portal-security-issues","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/cellular\/41629-vodacom-web-portal-security-issues.html","title":{"rendered":"Vodacom web portal security issues"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Some <a title=\"Vodacom\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/227063-Vodacom\">Vodacom<\/a> subscribers have reported today (18 January 2012) that when they log into the Vodacom.co.za online portal they are sometimes presented with another person\u2019s data.<\/p>\n<p>A MyBroadband forum member posted that they <a title=\"Vodacom site &quot;stack overflown&quot; then I had full access\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/21659-vodacom-co-za-portal-problems-accessing-amp-downtime-amp-other-feedback?p=7577401&amp;viewfull=1#post7577401\">got full access to another person\u2019s account<\/a> after receiving the error message: \u201cStack overflow at line: 0\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Other users reported the same issue on <a title=\"Twitter\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/359584-Twitter\">Twitter<\/a>, with one posting screenshots showing himself logged into two different accounts.<\/p>\n<p>We tried contacting both numbers shown in the screenshots but were greeted with the \u201csubscriber is not available at present\u201d message.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Nomsa Thusi\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/353286-Nomsa-Thusi\">Nomsa Thusi<\/a>, Vodacom&#8217;s head of client services explained, &#8220;There was a caching problem on the system.
